V prípadoch, keď respondenti hlásiaci sak jednej, alebo druhej skupine nemajú osobné skúsenosti s náprotivným etnikom, zaujímam sa o tradované rodinné spomínaniena holokaust. Dôležité sú taktiež obrazy, aké sa o príslušníkoch vybraných menšín šíria nimi samotnými.Kľúčové slová: Židia, Rómovia, slovenský, oral history, kontakt, 2. svetová vojna.AbstractThe paper focuses on self conceptualisation of ethnicity of Roma and Jews from Slovakia, particularly those who havesurvived the Holocaust. Study covers and discusses materials from a video archive of Holocaust survivors, which is accessibleat the Malach research center in Prague. It deals with parallels and intersections of Roma and Jews since the beginning of theWorld War II until 1990s. It debates oral history segments that point out mutual dissimilarity as well as undergoing of analogicaldestiny, including statements on members of counter minority culture.Thesis also foreshadows first results of an inquiry among Jews and Roma from cities in the middle of Slovakia, made by anethnographic interview. The aim of the research is to gain arguments in favor of intercultural contacts among Jews and Roma. Incases when the selected respondents do not have a practical personal experience with a counterpart ethnic minority, the questionfocuses on traded spoken history on Holocaust.
