Prvá z nich sa zaoberá základnýmiterminologickými vymedzeniami; druhá časť je oblasťou analýzy skúmaného prostredia a vyhodnocovania informácií pomocoutzv. ukotvenej teórie; záverečná časť je sumárom a prezentáciou výsledkov obsahujúcou odporúčania v kontexte sociálnej práce.Naším cieľom je prezentovať príspevok, ktorý by odborníkom venujúcim sa danej oblasti ponúkol alternatívnu cestu,spočívajúcu v špecifickom vymedzení pojmov o odlišnom, doteraz nie často užitom metodologickom postupe. Je zároveň určenýštudentom pomáhajúcich profesií (najmä odboru sociálne služby a poradenstvo, resp. sociálna práca), pričom môže slúžiť akodoplňujúci študijný materiál v rámci terénnej sociálnej práce, komunitnej práce alebo ako ukážka použitia kvalitatívnej metódyvo výskume.Kľúčové slová: Rómovia, ukotvená teória, terénny výskum, sociálna práca.AbstractThe contribution (output of the VEGA project 1/0170/11) can be divided thematically to three parts. The first part focuseson the basic terminological definitions; the second part analyses the studied environment and evaluates the information usingthe so-called grounded theory; and the final part summarises and presents the results in the content of social work.Our objective was to produce a piece of work that would provide the experts in this field with an alternative way consistingof specific definitions of the concepts and a different, so far not very often used methodological approach. The contribution canbe also used by students of helping professions, especially Social Services and Counselling, or Social Work, as an additional studymaterial for outreach social work, community work or as a sample of using the qualitative method. In the contribution we usedthe combination of the scientific and fictional styles, which might be suitable also for lay people. The statements are based onthe verbatim, highlighted utterances of the informants.Keywords: Romany, grounded theory, field research, social work.251
