This division ensures that every region is adequately represented in AACC s decision making bodies. It also
enables the AACC to have a better understanding of specific social economic and political issues facing the
regions and thus be able to serve them better.
VISION :
Churches in Africa together for Life, Truth, Justice and Peace (John 10:10).
MISSION:
The All Africa Conference of Churches is a fellowship of churches and institutions working together in their
common witness to the Gospel by:
-Mobilizing to faithfully live the message of God s love;
-Nurturing a common understanding of the faith;
-Interpreting and responding to challenges to human dignity; and
-Acting prophetically in Word, Life and Service for healing

ORGANOGRAM
AACC s primary role is to accompany the churches as they wrestle with the challenges facing Africa.
When it was first established in 1963, AACC s principal task was to enable churches to accompany
the continent in its journey to obtain freedom from colonial rule.
Four decades on, the continent's priorities have changed; AACC has had to re-visit and re-evaluate
its role and tasks accordingly. Mandated by its members in the 2002 General Assembly to restucture
the organisation; AACC has re-organised its structure to operationalise a new strategy under the
following operational divisions: General Secretariat, Communication, Research, and Advocacy,
Programmes, Regional Lomé Office, Finance, Administration, and Resource Development and AU
Liason Office.
Today AACC sees its role and functions as being the "Think Tank" of the churches, the interpreter of
major issues such as NEPAD, Globalistion & Economic Justice among others.
