Par!˚
Par!˚ (prefix) [para+!, not instr. of para: see para 2 c; in some cases it may also correspond to para'˚] prep.
meaning "on to," "over" (with the idea of mastering), also "through, throughout." The ! is shortened before
double consonant, like par!+k%=parakkaroti, par!+ kram=parakkamati (see under cpds. of para).
