Vod!ya
Vod!ya at J iv.184 appears to be a misreading for cod!ya (ger. from codeti) in meaning i*a' codeti to
undertake a loan, to lend money at interest (=va..hiy! ina' payojetv! C.), to demand payment for a loan.
The v. l. at all places is cod!ya (=codetv!). See codeti.

saddhammassa), 317 (id.; expld by C. as "vod!na' gacchati"); J ii.418 (of a precious stone).

Vod!sa [?] only at D iii.43 in phrase ˚' !pajjati in meaning of "making a distinction," being particular
(about food: bhojanesu), having a dainty appetite; expld by "dve bh!ge karoti" Bdhgh. It seems to stand for
vok!ra, unless we take it to be a misspelling for vod!ya "cutting off," fr. vi+ava+d!, thus "separating the
food" (?): Suggestive also is the likeness with vos!na' !pajjati.
