to be cultivated, to be respected, in a self -- composed state (cp. bh!vitatta) M i.33 (garu+; expld by Bdhgh<br />

as "addh! 'yam !yasm! j!na' j!n!ti passa' passat" ti eva' sambh!van"yo" MA 156); S v.164; A iii.110;<br />
