Özet
Bu çalışmadaki amaç; bir eğitim hastanesinde görev yapan hemşirelerin birimlerindeki hasta güvenliği
konusundaki uygulamalara bakış açılarını belirlemektir. Kasım-Aralık 2009 tarihleri arasında yapılan
bu çalışmanın evreni bir eğitim hastanesinde görev yapan hemşirelerdir. Bu hastanede araştırma
sırsında 390 hemşire çalışmakta olup, % 95 güvenirlilik ve % 5 sapma ile araştırma örneklemine
110 kişi alınmıştır. Daha sonra rastgele örneklem yöntemi ile seçilen belirlenen katılımcılara ulaşılarak
yüz yüze yöntemi ile anket uygulanmıştır.
Hemşirelerin % 69,1’i 1-5 yıl arasında, %29,1’i 6-10 yıl arasında, % 1,8’i 11-15 yıl arasında çalışmaktadır.
% 89,1’ i 40 saat ve üzeri çalışmaktadır. % 90,9 bulunduğu yerde genellikle hastalarla doğrudan
etkileşim içinde bulunmaktadır. Hastanelerinde oluşan raporlanan olay sayısı, % 52,7’si hiç
olarak belirtmiştir. Hasta güvenliği derecesi olarak birimlerini değerlendirdiğinde % 74,5 mükemmel,
%21,8 çok iyi cevabını vermiştir. Sonuç olarak hemşireler hasta güvenliği derecelerini mükemmel
olarak değerlenmiştir. Olay bildirme sıklığını sıfıra yakın olarak belirtmişlerdir.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the opinions of the nurses about patient safety in their units in
a training hospital. The universe of this study, which was conducted between November 2009 and December
2009, was the nurses in a training hospital. At the time of the study, there were 390 nurses in
the hospital and 110 of them were included in the sample, with 95% reliability and 5% deviation. Then
participants who were chosen randomly were talked to face to face and they filled a questionnaire.
Of these nurses, 69.1% had been working for 1-5 years, 29.1% for 6-10 years, 1.8% for 11-15 years;
89.1% of them were working for 40 hours or longer. Ninety-nine point nine per cent of them were having
direct interaction with the patients in their units. The number of events reported in their hospital
was cited to be 52.7%. When they evaluated their units with respect to patient safety, 74.5% of them
said it was perfect, and 21.8% very good. As a result, nurses concluded that patient safety in their hospital
was perfect. They mentioned the frequencyof events to be near to zero.
