and to be wounded, to secure the conditions of security in an institute. Abraham Maslow, a famous
American psychologist, when ranging people’s need, expresses that the need of being in safe comes
immediately after the basic physiological need. Physical, chemical, biological, psychological, environmental
health security is among the most important subjects for both the people who serve and
the people who receive the service. During the therapy of an illness, the security of hospital ambience
and its perception by people are extremely important.
It has been planned to make a large-scale study to fix the perception of hospital security by workers
and public and to debate the interesting results.
The sampling of this research consists of the hospital staff who work at Publicly-owned or Pay Hospitals
this sampling 4459 surveys have been evaluated.2615 of 4459 focus people are hospital workers and
1844 people are the people who receive service from the hospitals. The surveys have been filled in with
the method of easy sampling by the people who have been charged by Local Health Authority. The survey
consists of two groups of questions. First group questions have been prepared with the purpose of
fixing demographic features of the people who has joined the survey, second group questions (10 pieces)
have been prepared with the purpose of fixing the hospital security perception level of the people
who joined the survey and their communication information. The results have been analyzed and coded
in Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) 11.0 program and the required results have
been evaluated. Multiple cores pendency analytics has been applied to fix the relations between the
personal information such as city, age group, sexuality, educational background, patient and worker,
being a Pay hospital or Publicly-owned hospital and the answers given to the questions.
According to the analysis results, at Pay hospitals women workers are mostly subject to hospital infection.
University-educated and graduate students think that hospital security is significantly deficient.
