Sonuç
Çalışma sonucunda, hemşirelerin meslekte profesyonelleşme tutum puanlarının iyi düzeyde olduğu
saptanmıştır. Bu durumun hastanemizde başlatılan kalite çalışmaları kapsamında çalışanlara verilen
hizmet içi eğitim ve iyileştirme çalışmalarından kaynaklandığı düşünülmektedir. Bu amaçla, hastanelerde
kalite çalışmalarının dolayısıyla bu kapsamda iyileştirme çalışmalarının başlatılması önerilebilir.

ASSESSMENT OF PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDES OF NURSES
TOWARD TO OCCUPATIONAL
Occupational professionalism is very important to compose the standard of profession and to present a
quality nursing. The negative influences of occupational professionalism could effect individual and
institutional of nursing quality and could cause to institutional problems and disapprobation of stuffs
and customer.
Research
The aim of this research is the Assessment of professional Attitudes of Nurses toward to occupational
and analyse the variables that affect them.
The Equipment and Method
The samples of this research consist of 78 volunteer nurses in the Bolu İzzet Baysal public hospital.
The datas had been collected according to the questionnaire between 1 April and 15 May 2009, which
contains the personal feature of participant and according to the Erbil and Bakir. “The inventory of
Professional Attitudes in occupation”.
To make this research the written Approval had been received from relevant institution, and during the
application verbal Approval of nurses had been received. All the datas had been evaluated according to
the tests” Kruskal - Wallis, Independent - Samples T and Pearson Correlation “.
Symptoms
The Average age of the nurses, who attended this survey is, 33,5±5,0 and it is found, that 57,3% of
these nurses have associate degrees. This survey also indicates, that 29,2% of these nurses work in
Surgery department, 21,3% in internal medicine, 19,1% in emergency, 14,6% in intensive care unit,
15,7% in other departments. Furthermore it is also indicated that 66,3% of these nurses, who attended
the survey, have been working more than 10 years, and 18% of them are attending the scientific activities
in nursing. The 52,8% of the nurses said, that they are completely pleased with their jobs, whereas
55,1% of them say that they would change the job, if they could find the possibility to do so, and this
percentage also states that they have this idea since they define the nursing as extremely exhausting
and having severe conditions. 44,9% states that they do not fulfill the nursing duties because they do
not perform “the caring”, since they are mainly busy with the “paperwork.”
