CONOCIMIENTO, OPINIóN Y ACEPTACIóN DE LOS ALIMENTOS
TRANSGÉNICOS POR PARTE DE LOS ESTUDIANTES
DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE ZARAGOZA

Resumen: Los resultados obtenidos en la encuesta realizada a
alumnos de la Universidad de Zaragoza indican que una proporción
importante de ellos tiene un concepto erróneo sobre los alimentos
transgénicos. Sus principales fuentes de información son
los medios de comunicación y las asociaciones ecologistas, que
consideran más fiables, y no las fuentes científicas. Solo un tercio
de los encuestados consumiría alimentos transgénicos, y lo haría
solo si fueran más baratos o de mayor calidad.

Abstract: The results obtained in the survey made to students from
the University of Zaragoza indicate that a significant proportion
of them have misconceptions about transgenic food. Their main
sources of information are the media and the environmental associations
and not the scientific sources, which are considered as the
most reliable for them. Just a third of respondents would consume
transgenic food, and only if these were cheaper or of a higher quality
than non-transgenic food.
