LAS PRÁCTICAS ALIMENTARIAS DE LOS DIABÉTICOS

Resumen: El trabajo problematiza el hecho de que las prácticas
para el cuidado de la diabetes traen serios desafíos para las prácticas
sociales relacionadas con las situaciones de la comensalidad.
Las diferentes condiciones que los hombres y las mujeres tienen
para obtener éxito en el mantenimiento de la dieta, se relaciona
con el papel que las prácticas alimentarias tienen en la constitución
de la identidad y en la reproducción de los lazos y de las relaciones
afectuosas en los grupos sociales.
Palabras clave: alimentación, diabetes, identidad, género, cuidado
de sí.
Abstract: The work problematizes the fact that the practices for diabetes’
care bring serious challenges for the social practices related to
commensual situations with friends and family. The difference in
the conditions that men and women have to obtain success in the
maintenance of the diet is related to the role that eating practices
have in the constitution of the identity, and in the reproduction of
the bonds and the affectionate relationships in the social groups.
