Wandsprüche – Lehrwort oder Leerwort?

Resumo: Ponto de partida desta pesquisa é uma coleção de ‚bordados
de parede‘ encontrados em lares teuto-brasileiros no
Rio Grande do Sul, baseada na qual se trata da questão da
conexão entre a língua, o pensamento e a ação. Os valores
afirmados tanto nesses bordados, quanto em depoimentos
colhidos em entrevistas, são analisados enquanto expressão
da mentalidade do grupo. Os provérbios são interpretados
como a voz da mulher, em seu papel como mediadora
da língua e transmissora da cultura dentro de uma minoria
étnica. Uma análise comparativa com uma coleção de
provérbios bordados provenientes da região de colonização
italiana evidencia as semelhanças e as diferenças entre
os valores realçados pelas diferentes culturas. Para a análise
fez-se uso do modelo proposto pelo projeto de pesquisa
internacional Conceitos Éticos e Culturas Mentais.
Abstract: The article deals with the relationship between language,
thought and action on the basis of a collection of embroidered
wall hangings from German-Brazilian households in
the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The values affirmed in the
wall hangings, as well as those expressed in a series of interviews,
are analyzed as an expression of group mentality. The
sayings are interpreted as the voice of women, and their
role as language mediators and bearers of culture within
minority ethnic groups is highlighted. A comparative study
with a collection of wall hangings originating from the Italian
immigrant community in the same state shows both common
ground and differences in emphasis. The model proposed
by the international research project Ethical concepts
and mental cultures was used for the analysis.

findet sich seit einigen Jahren eine steigende Anzahl von so genannten
kleinen Wegweisern. Diese oft schön illustrierten Geschenkbüchlein erfreuen
sich großer Beliebtheit. Sie enthalten Worte zum Trost und zur Ermunterung
und bieten Lebensregeln für verschiedene Situationen an. Oft sind die
Weisheitsworte thematisch geordnet unter Rubriken wie Freundschaft, Liebe, Leid
oder glücklich/gelassen/achtsam sein. Solche Büchlein können als ein Erbe der
