Content Protocol • H.263<br />

• Content is shared using the H.263 protocol.<br />

• Use this option when most of the endpoints support H.263 and<br />

some endpoints support H.264.<br />

For more details, see "H.263” on page 3-4.<br />

• H.263 & H.264 Auto Selection (Default)<br />

• Content is shared using H.263 if a mix of H.263-supporting<br />

and H.264-supporting endpoints are connected.<br />

• Content is shared using H.264 if all connected endpoints have<br />

H.264 capability.<br />

For more details, see "H.263 & H.264 Auto Selection (Default<br />

Setting)” on page 3-4.<br />

• H.264 Cascade Optimized<br />

• All Content is shared using the H.264 content protocol and is<br />

optimized for use in Cascaded Conferences. For more details,<br />

see "H.264 Cascade Optimized” on page 3-6.<br />

• H.264 HD<br />

• Ensures high quality Content when most endpoints support<br />

H.264 and HD Resolutions. For more details, see "H.264 HD”<br />

on page 3-5.<br />

Cascade Resolution Select a Cascade Resolution from the drop-down menu.<br />

The Cascade Resolutions that are available for selection are<br />

dependent on the Line Rate and Content Settings that have been<br />

selected for the conference.<br />

Content Channel by Line Rate, Content Settings & Cascade<br />

Resolution” on page 3-8.<br />

Note: This field is only displayed when H.264 Cascade Optimized is<br />

selected as the Content Protocol.<br />

The threshold line rate for HD Resolution Content is the line rate at which the <strong>RMX</strong> will send<br />

Content at HD1080 Resolution. The default is 768 kbps. When the threshold value is set to 0,<br />

HD720p/ HD1080p resolutions for Content sharing are disabled.<br />

To modify the HD Resolution Content threshold line rate:<br />

1 On the <strong>RMX</strong> menu, click Setup > System Configuration.<br />
