CP Conferencing with H.263 4CIF<br />

Chapter 2-Video Protocols and Resolution Configuration for CP Conferencing<br />

The video resolution of 4CIF in H.263 endpoints is only supported for conferences in which<br />

the video quality is set to sharpness and for line rates of 384 Kbps to 1920 Kbps as shown in<br />

Table 2-1.<br />

The <strong>RMX</strong> Web Client supports monitoring of H.263 4CIF information. The H.245 or SDP tab<br />

includes the additional information.<br />

The creation of a new H.263 4CIF slide is supported in the IVR Service in addition to the<br />

current H.263 IVR slide. If users utilize the default <strong>Polycom</strong> slides that are delivered with<br />

<strong>RMX</strong> 1500/<strong>2000</strong>/4000, the slide’s resolution will be as defined in the profile, i.e. SD, HD,<br />

CIF, etc.<br />

• H.263 4CIF is supported with H.323, SIP and ISDN connection endpoints.<br />

• H.263 4CIF is supported in CP mode only.<br />

• Click & View is supported in H.263 4CIF.<br />

• AES encryption is supported with H.263 4CIF.<br />

• H.263 4CIF is supported in recording by the RSS<strong>2000</strong> and other recording devices.<br />

• All video layouts are supported in H.263 4CIF, except 1x1 layout. In a 1x1 layout, the<br />

resolution will be CIF.<br />

• For information about Resource Usage see Table 20-5 on page 20-8.<br />

• H.239 is supported in in H.263 4CIF and is based on the same bandwidth decision<br />

matrix as for HD.<br />
