Modifications to the Master MCU Requiring System Reset<br />

The status of the synchronization between the Master and Slave<br />

MCUs in the Hot Backup configuration is indicated as:<br />

• OK - Hot Backup is functioning normally, and the Master and<br />

Slave MCUs are synchronized.<br />

• Attempting - Hot Backup is attempting to synchronize the Master<br />

and Slave MCUs.<br />

• Fail - A failure occurred while trying to synchronize the paired<br />

MCUs.<br />

• None - Hot Backup has not been enabled.<br />

Modifications to the configuration of the Master MCU that require a System Reset cannot be<br />

performed while Hot Backup is enabled.<br />

To modify the Master MCU configuration:<br />

1 Disable the Hot Backup on the Master and Slave MCUs.<br />

2 Modify the Master MCUs configuration.<br />

3 Reset the Master MCU.<br />

4 When the reset is complete, enable Hot Backup on the Master and Slave MCUs.<br />

5 If required, reset the Slave MCU.<br />
