<strong>Polycom</strong> <strong>RMX</strong> 1500/<strong>2000</strong>/4000 Administrator’s <strong>Guide</strong><br />

User Login Record<br />

The system can display a record of the last Login of the user. It is displayed in the Main<br />

Screen of the <strong>RMX</strong> Web Client or <strong>RMX</strong> Manager. The user Login Record display is enabled<br />

when the LAST_LOGIN _ATTEMPTS System Flag is set to YES.<br />

Both lists display the:<br />

• Date and Time of the Login attempt.<br />

• IP Address of the workstation initiating the Login attempt.<br />

The list of unsuccessful Logins can contain up to ten records.<br />

Failed Login attempts are written to the system Log Files and are recorded as Audit Events.<br />

The Audit files can be retrieved by the Administrator User.<br />

Controlling <strong>RMX</strong> User Sessions<br />

Management Sessions per System<br />

It is possible for a several users to simultaneously log in to the <strong>RMX</strong> and initiate<br />

management sessions from different instances of the <strong>RMX</strong> Web Client or <strong>RMX</strong> Manager that<br />

are running on a single or several workstations.<br />

The maximum number of concurrent management sessions (http and https connections) per<br />

system is determined by the value of the<br />

MAX_NUMBER_OF_MANAGEMENT_SESSIONS_PER_SYSTEM System Flag.<br />

Any attempt to exceed the maximum number of management sessions per system results in<br />

the display of an error message: Maximum number of permitted user connections has been<br />

exceeded. New connection is denied.<br />

The log in attempt is recorded as an Audit Event<br />

It is possible for a user to log in to the <strong>RMX</strong> and initiate multiple management sessions from<br />

different instances of the <strong>RMX</strong> Web Client or <strong>RMX</strong> Manager that are running on a single or<br />
