Musée installé au bord de l'Ill, sur le site de l'Ancienne
Commanderie des Chevaliers de Saint-Jean. Une
immense nef vitrée, véritable rue intérieure, dessert les
différentes salles d'exposition réparties sur deux niveaux
principaux. L'originalité de ses collections réside dans
l'intensité du dialogue engagé entre les œuvres de
quelques-uns des grands novateurs du XXe s. et fait
de ce musée une véritable mise en scène de la
modernité. En dehors des collections d'art moderne
et contemporain, il abrite une salle de consultation de
photographies et d'art graphique, une bibliothèque
d'art, un auditorium où sont programmés concerts,
films et conférences, etc.

25 personnes : 2,50 €, - de 18 ans : gratuit.
Errichtet am Ufer der Ill auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen
Ritterordens St-Jean. Zu den auf zwei Stockwerken
verteilten Säle führt ein Weg, der unter einer Glaskuppel
wie in der Schwebe zu hängen scheint. Die
Besonderheit der Sammlungen besteht aus dem Dialog
zwischen einigen der großen Neuerer des 20. Jahrhunderts.
Hier finden Sie eine einmalige Inszenierung der
Moderne. Neben den Sammlungen moderner und
zeitgenössischer Kunst ein Saal mit Fotografien und
Grafiken, eine Kunstbibliothek, ein Auditorium für
Konzerte, Filme und Konferenzen.

Museum located on the banks of the river Ill, on
the site of the Former Commandery of the Knights
of Saint John. A huge glass nave lights the way for
the visitor to walk through the different rooms,
spread out over two floors. The originality of the
collections lies in the juxtaposition of the works of
some of the great 20th c. innovators and makes
this museum a genuine showcase for modern art. In
addition to the modern and contemporary art
collections, the museum houses a consultation
room for photographs and graphic art, a library
and an auditorium, staging concerts, films and
conferences

Musée installé dans le bâtiment inauguré en 1900 pour
servir de station sismologique centrale sous l’empire
allemand de Guillaume II. Présentation d’anciens
sismomètres de la station et d’une collection d’instruments
servant à mesurer le champ magnétique
terrestre.

The museum is located in the building which was
inaugurated in 1900 to serve as the central
seismological station under the German Empire of
Wilhelm II. Display of the station’s old seismometers
and a collection of instruments used to measure
the Earth’s magnetic field.
