PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Lieutenant Governor is elected to a four-year term and is the President of the Senate. He assumes the powers and duties of the Governor if the Governor is unable to discharge his duties.
The mission of the office is to foster and nurture global business and tourism opportunities for the people and the State of Nevada, while protecting the pioneer entrepreneurial spirit that built
and sustains our great state. The Lieutenant Governor is the chair of the Nevada Commission on Tourism, a member of the Governor's Office of Economic Development Board, vice-chair of
the Board of Directors of the Nevada Department of Transportation, and is a member of the Governor's Cabinet and the Executive Branch Audit Committee. The Lieutenant Governor is also
Chairman of the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition, which is seeking to bring the next Olympic Winter Games held in North America to northern Nevada.

BASE
This request continues funding for the Lt. Governor, 3.4 positions, and associated operating costs. One-time expenditures have been eliminated and partial year costs have been annualized.
