DETR - REHABILITATION DIVISION - This division brings Nevadans together to promote barrier-free communities in which individuals with disabilities have
access to opportunities for quality work and self sufficiency.
Division Budget Highlights:
1. Combine Blind Services & Vocational Rehabilitation - These two bureaus are being
combined into one. Combining budgets will save time, expense, and will result in a clearer
picture of revenue and expenditures which will better serve Nevadans with disabilities.
2. Add New Blind Vending Sites - Anticipated site locations are at the Nevada State
Museum at the Springs Preserve in Las Vegas; and Clark County Wet Lands Park Snack Bar,
Shooting Park Restaurant and Equestrian Park to expand the successful program that provides
self-employment opportunities to persons with visual disabilities.
