PROGRAM DESCRIPTION<br />

The Aging and Disability Services Division supports the Independent Living Grants of the Fund for a Healthy <strong>Nevada</strong>. The Independent Living Grants enhance the independent living of<br />

older <strong>Nevada</strong>ns through services enabling older persons to remain at home and avoid institutional placement. The services provided include transportation, information assistance and<br />

advocacy, adult day care, legal assistance, homemaker services, companion, respite, home repair, and caregiver support services.<br />

BASE<br />

This request continues funding for sub-grantees and associated operating costs. One-time expenditures have been eliminated and partial year costs have been annualized.<br />
