PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The program provides accurate and timely services to protect the health of Nevada's residents and visitors through research into the causes and spread of disease, diagnosis of communicable
disease outbreaks, surveillance for emerging infectious diseases and environmental contaminants, as well as integration into state and national health policies or networks for public health
promotion and education. Constitutional authority: Article 11, Section 4 and NRS 396.
BASE
This request continues funding for 17.10 positions and associated operating costs. One-time expenditures have been eliminated and partial year costs have been annualized.
