PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Office of Information Security (OIS) provides leadership and oversight of a comprehensive state information security program consisting of state information security policies and
standards, security assessments, security incident response, continuity of operations plans, physical access control solutions, and security awareness training to the Executive Branch of
Nevada State Government. The OIS guides and assists state agencies by addressing security issues, planning security solutions, implementing sound security controls, and providing
technical security guidance to protect critical state data, networks, and data processing environments. The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) reports to the Chief Information Officer
(CIO), chairs the State Information Security Committee and represents the CIO on the Attorney General's Technological Crime Advisory Board and the Public Safety Homeland Security
Cyber Terrorism Committee. Statutory authority: NRS 242.

This request continues funding for seven employees and associated operating costs. One-time expenditures have been eliminated and partial year costs have been annualized.
