DHHS - PUBLIC HEALTH - The Nevada State Health Division promotes and protects the health of all Nevadans and visitors to the state through its leadership in
public health and enforcement of laws and regulations pertaining to public health.
Division Budget Highlights:
1. Consolidation of Public & Mental Health Services - Integrates public and behavioral
health services by leveraging existing capacity. Implements a patient centered system of care
for prevention, early intervention, and access to treatment.
2. Enhance Immunization Program - The Immunization Program includes new initiatives
to enhance the interoperability between medical records, the Immunization Registry, and the
receipt of Health Level 7 information; enhances the sustainability of school vaccinations; and
adds funding for additional pertussis vaccination.
