E226 EFFICIENT AND RESPONSIVE STATE GOVERNMENT
This request funds a contract to compile data on a national basis and provide recommendations re: updating fees and charges for medical treatment and services included in the Nevada
Medical Fee Schedule. The regulations/statues state that the fees need to be reviewed/surveyed by an unbiased organization periodically. Periodically was not defined, and it has been ten
years since the last study. Fees are reviewed annually and adjusted by the Medical Consumer Price Index. The Division of Industrial Relations has been doing this for ten years, as stated
above regulations state that the fees would be surveyed/reviewed periodically.
Providers and organizations (i.e. hospital associations) have requested that the state (i.e. Division of Industrial Relations) complete a study to confirm/validate the medical rates.
