This request includes medical costs for recipients who are currently enrolled in Nevada Check Up (NCU), or who are currently eligible for NCU but not enrolled, that will become eligible for
Medicaid due to changes made through the passing of the Affordable Care Act. It is anticipated changes to how income is counted in the eligibility determination, specifically using the
Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) up to 138% of the federal poverty level, will transfer numerous NCU recipients from the NCU program to the Medicaid program. This population
will be eligible for Medicaid at the Enhanced NCU Federal Medical Assistance Percentages rate.
