PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Division of Museums and History, Office of the Administrator, is responsible for oversight and administration of the division office and the statewide museum system, including: the
Nevada State Museum and the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City, the Nevada Historical Society in Reno, the East Ely Railroad Depot Museum, the Lost City Museum in
Overton, the Nevada State Museum in Las Vegas, and the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City. The state museum system is responsible for the collection, preservation,
education, community development (cultural tourism), and interpretation of objects and documents representing Nevada's history and pre-history, and the development and preservation of
these collections for the public, now and in the future. Statutory Authority: NRS 381.
BASE
This request continues funding for four positions and associated operating costs. One-time expenditures have been eliminated and partial year costs have been annualized.
