ENHANCEMENT
E225 EFFICIENT AND RESPONSIVE STATE GOVERNMENT
This request provides funding to allow the State Engineer to develop and adopt regulations that define some of the terms in Nevada Water Law, and to identify factors that will be considered
in addressing certain statutory criteria. The process develops regulations defining the applicable meaning for terms such as Environmentally Sound, Perennial Yield, Groundwater Recharge
and other terms that the division uses in the execution of its water regulatory responsibilities but that are unclear to the general public. Funding will pay for travel to conduct workshops, and
hearings throughout the state to get public comment on the proposed regulations, and to pay for the cost of review, and codification by the Legislative Counsel Bureau.
