program and the Nevada 529 College Savings Plans program, as authorized by 26 U.S.C. § 529. The programs are designed to assist parents and students in taking advantage
Division Budget Highlights:
Education Tuition account and the Nevada College Savings Trust account to increase
awareness for the Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program and the College Savings Plan of Nevada
by emphasizing options to prepay future higher education tuition costs at today's lower prices.
2. Grow the Stabilization Reserve - The College Savings Board is requesting the transfer of
an additional $500,000 per fiscal year from the Nevada College Savings Endowment account
to the Higher Education Tuition account for the purpose of further growing the stabilization
reserve to a Best Practice mark of 120% funded status.
