PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Nevada Division of Forestry's (NDF) core mission is to protect natural resources and property from wildfire. In support of its mission, NDF manages and coordinates all forestry, nursery,
endangered plant species, and watershed resource activities on qualified public, state, and private lands. In conjunction with other state agencies, NDF also takes action and provides
coordination for responses to natural disasters, including floods and earthquakes. (NRS 40, 193, 205, 206, 232, 472, 473, 474, 475, 476, 527, and 528).
BASE
This request continues funding for sixty-seven positions and associated operating costs. One-time expenditures have been eliminated and partial year costs have been annualized.
