Department <strong>Budget</strong> Highlights (continued):<br />

8. Reopen Summit View Correctional Center (SVCC) - Reopening will occur October <strong>2013</strong>. Funding is included for up to fifty state correctional beds and<br />

necessary start-up costs for equipment/services to bring the facility to an operational level. Savings from Elko Youth Training Center due to low capacity is being<br />

reinvested for the reopening of SVCC.<br />

9. Expand <strong>Nevada</strong> Early Intervention Services - Substantial increases have been included to serve additional children. Projections estimate children served<br />

will increase from approximately 2800 on June 30, 2012 to just over 3600 children by the end of this biennium.<br />
