ordinary people‘s life. It is also at that time, did the world know that New York, once
the symbol of wealth and freedom, were enduring a gradual decline. Although
nowadays, when walking on the streets of Manhattan, people can still feel its
prosperity, there is not any pride that New Yorkers used to have. With all these years
living in New Yorker, Mr. Fu and Ms. Fei eventually understand the spirit of a city. It‘s
not something that everyone talks about just on surface. It‘s something rooted deep
inside every resident‘s soul; no one can feel it every day, but when you leave the
place, it slowly rushes up.
As far as Mr. Fu and Ms. Fei are concerned, New York City is changing every day.
What remains its inward visage is what is unique to New York——its ability to coexist
with other culture. Or, we could say, all culture in New York is New York culture; or,
all culture in New York is other culture.
Mr. Fu and Ms. Fei will give more lectures in some other universities in Beijing. The
lectures will introduce modern architecture to college students in Beijing. On purpose
to popularize architecture, they have also begun a program with students from
Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Central Academy of Fine Arts.
