Foreign Literature: Dialogues and Co-existence of Different Literature and Cultures
The literature under different culture and language context performs perhaps one of
the most evident diversity created by cultural differences. Under the general theme of
harmony and prosperity of civilizations, sub-group of foreign literature opens
dialogue about coexistence of different literature and in a larger sense, of different
cultures.
Scholars involved are coming from renowned research institutions like Foreign
Literature Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Science and universities
from both home and abroad, including City University of New York and University of
Texas to name only a few. During two-day long session, various issues are brought
under discussion, ranging from contextual narratologies to specific literary form like
poetry and novel.
