<strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong>, Apr. 1, 2008: The Red Ribbon made list in the ―new seven<br />

wonders <strong>of</strong> the architecture world‖ which was published in the international famous<br />

tour magazine Condé Nast Traveler.<br />

The Red Ribbon, which is designed by Pr<strong>of</strong>. Yu Kongjian <strong>of</strong> the Graduate School <strong>of</strong><br />

Landscape Architecture, <strong>PKU</strong> and Turenscape, locates in the Tanghe River Park <strong>of</strong><br />

Qinhuangdao. By using red glass fiber reinforced plastics and together with natural<br />

green basement <strong>of</strong> the riverbanks, the 500-meter-long architecture is just like a red<br />

ribbon snaking its way amid the undergrowth beside the meandering river, and now it<br />

becomes a garden cum ecological oasis for the city people.<br />

New Seven Wonders <strong>of</strong> the Architecture World:<br />

1. Cumulus Building, Denmark: It‘s an exhibit hall <strong>of</strong> Danfoss <strong>University</strong>. With gray as<br />

its ground color, the whole building introduces a lot <strong>of</strong> arcs and angles to make it like<br />

an irregular cloud.<br />

2. Burj Dubai, Dubai: This still-in-progress building, which, once completed, will be<br />
