Symposium on Evolutionary Dynamics

Peking University, Oct. 21, 2009: Supported by the Graduate School of Peking
University (PKU), the PKU-Harvard International Symposium on Evolutionary
Dynamics was held at the South Conference Room of Main Library on the morning of
October 12. The symposium was organized by Prof. Wang Long of PKU Institute of
Technology, and was emceed by Fu Feng, a PhD Candidate of Institute of
Technology.
At the beginning of the symposium, Prof. Tang Shaoqiang, Vice-Dean of Institute of
Technology, gave a brief introduction of Institute of Technology. Five world famous
experts on evolutionary dynamics from Harvard University, including Tibor Antal,
David G. Rand, Thomas Pfeiffer, Daniel I. Rosenbloom, and Michael Manapat,
attended the symposium, and Prof. Chu Tianguang also accepted the invitation to
attend this symposium.
During the symposium, the five experts gave special lectures on hot topics in this
field, such as the application of evolutionary dynamics in cancer, punishment,
metabolic systems, evolutionary origins and vaccination. Their excellent lectures
