<strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong>, May 7, 2009: Bjarne Haakon Hanssen, Norway‘s Minister <strong>of</strong><br />

Health and Sanitation Bureau and Bjorn Skogmo, Special Adviser <strong>of</strong> the Ministry <strong>of</strong><br />

Foreign Affairs visited <strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong> Health Science Center (PUHSC) for the<br />

―China-Norway Primary Health Care and Global Health Seminar‖. Ten other<br />

Norwegian ambassadors in Beijing were also present at the event. <strong>PKU</strong> Executive<br />

Vice President and PUHSC Associate Director Ke Yang, Vice Dean <strong>of</strong> <strong>PKU</strong> School<br />

<strong>of</strong> International Studies and member <strong>of</strong> UN Foundation‘s Board <strong>of</strong> Directors Yuan<br />

Ming, and other leaders welcomed the international guest on behalf <strong>of</strong> the entire<br />

campus.<br />

Ke Yang started the conference by welcoming the guests from Norway. She noted<br />

that Norway is known internationally for their experience and all-round policies in<br />

their Primary Health Care and Global Health System; and there was much that China<br />

could learn from.<br />
