unlikely to adopt a new management practice unless they have tried the technique for<br />

themselves <strong>and</strong> seen positive results or learned from other farmers by example. This<br />

finding endorses the farmer field school concept in which farmers in a number of<br />

locations can learn through experimentation over a period of time at no cost to<br />

themselves.<br />
