The Global Information Management Self Assessment covers all areas of
the Information Supply Chain and allows for an individual position fixing.
The Global Information Management Self Assessment comprises three
modules:

Interpretation
The analysis module is based on a comprehensive questionnaire, which
contains multiple-choice questions in addition to descriptions and
questions to gather quantitative data. This questionnaire can either be
answered separately by the relevant departments or it can be filled out
together as part of a workshop lasting several days. Once all questions
have been answered in full, the questionnaire is assessed using an ITsupported
tool during the evaluation stage. The results are documented
and presented by means of a wide range of diagrams with differing
levels of detail.
The main diagram is a spider‘s web chart showing the status at all phases
of the information lifecycle compared to industry standards and best
practices. This diagram allows gaps and areas requiring improvement
within the company to be identified immediately.
