The Art of War
We are certain that it is almost impossible to replace human translation
with machine translation for a considerably long period of time. The
core competitiveness of the MT system is not to replace human translators,
but to support them for their efficient work. For this, it is necessary
to ensure the strategic system for facilitating human-machine collaboration
and sharing and reapplying the translation knowledge. Especially,
a new work process is required to dynamically train translators for getting
familiar with the MT system to maximize the intellectual value of
human beings, as well as performing the post-editing for the resultant
translations conducted by the MT system.
This presentation will provide a new form of a workflow for dynamic
human-machine collaboration and the system idea based on the workflow.
Additionally, we will also present the future development plan by
explaining how the MT system combined with Computer-Aided Translation
(CAT) communicates with humans via social network.
