Working with the family about the adoption story, Mirko’s sister says that Mirko growing increasingly looks like their birth father: phisically but not in the character , because Mirko is a very generous and friendly boy! “Except when someone attacks my family!” adds laughing Mirko. De plus, chez les adolescents adoptés, des études ont mis en évidence une plus grande prévalence de symptômes d’externalisation. Nous proposons une hypothèse associant un vécu d’abandon/adoption à des difficultés dans le processus de subjectivation à l’adolescence, s’exprimant par des troubles externalisés. La théorie de l’attachement pourrait servir de modèle explicatif à l’influence d’expériences précoces sur l’émergence de tels comportements. Objectifs: Cette étude vise à relier certains types d’attachement insecures à la présence de symptômes externalisés, chez des adolescents adoptés comparés à leurs pairs non adoptés. Population: Les sujets de l’étude sont des 301 patients âgés de 12 à 24 ans, hospitalisés dans une clinique psychiatrique à Bruxelles (Belgique) en 2009-2010. Méthode: Cette étude cas-contrôle utilise des questionnaires auto-administrés évaluant le type d’attachement (Relationship Scales Questionnaire), les symptômes psychiques (Hopkins Symptoms Checklist-90) et les problèmes de conduite (Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire). Résultats: Selon les études antérieures, une corrélation est attendue entre le type d’attachement et le statut de filiation, ainsi qu’entre adoption et symptômes externalisés. Les types d’attachement seront comparés au tableau symptomatique, afin d’établir un lien psychopathologique entre l’adoption et l’externalisation à l’adolescence.
