Polemology is a Psychology and War-Sociology
specialization. Its author have applied this theory
into the therapeutical groups, the family groups
and the institutions therapeutic-social work.
The Polemology of the youth concerns the “war”
that the young must face to become an adult.
Youngest live fighting for their emancipation and
differentiation from their family, from their friends’
group and from life institutions because those are
the most meaningful sectors of their lives.
Their self-destructive or hetero-destructive
behaviours are fight’s strategies and tactics
against the others. Extreme competition is a very
important concept to be considered. For instance:
gamblers, drug addicts and anorexics-bulimics
live in total competitions against the others. In the
Polemology context the enemy’s figure is very
important.

Everyone needs an enemy because he/she represents
an enormous existential organizer for
the subject. This is so true that we can verify
depression in an individual when her/his best
enemy die.
One can observe that the young search quarrel
in order to reassert her/his frail identity; it’s
known how youth’s gangs mooch around the
cities looking for brawls. This subject englobe
the youth’s death: the suicidal kill her/himself to
avoid dying. Many youngest do like a kamikazeanorexic
girl did that committed suicide in the
New Year’s Eve just to protest against consumerism.
The Violence Prevention’s Project in the schools
is a model based on the moral education of the
youth: the classroom is an ideal place to create
the community of the Justice.
