Description
Unit of Issue EA
Group Physical Therapy / Gym
Weight assisted upper body exercise apparatus. The weight stack partially compensates for the exerciser's body weight and allows the
exerciser to move through the full dip, chin-up or pull up motion while not lifting his or her full body weight. By progressively lowering
the assistance the machine provides, the exerciser can eventually work up to unassisted lifting. The room ceiling may have to be raised to
accommodate the equipment and exerciser when the exerciser is at the top of a chin up or pull up. See specific manufacturer's
requirements. The unit is used in a gym for upper body strength training or in physical therapy for rehabilitation.
