Intra-aortic balloon pump. Item is used to treat cardiogenic shock resulting from extensive myocardial injury or damage. <strong>The</strong> pump shall<br />

function from line or battery power and is to be a mobile unit. It contains physiological monitoring, pacing, and pumping capabilities. It<br />

requires minimal set-up time and has immediate pumping capability. Adjustments can be accomplished without interruption of<br />

pumping. <strong>The</strong> monitor can be mounted remotely for the clinicians convenience and permits viewing of both cardio-pulmonary bypass<br />

and intra-aortic balloon pump simultaneously. <strong>The</strong> pump is designed for use in the critical care unit, operating room, cardiac cath lab and<br />

during transport.<br />
