Leigh Hunt 1784–1859
The most noteworthy collection of Hunt mss is the Brewer Collection at the
Univ of Iowa, Iowa City: over 100 literary mss and more than 650 letters from
Hunt. Bodleian MS Eng Poet e 38 is a notebook containing unptd draft poems
by Hunt. Other mss can be found at the Pierpont Morgan Lib, New York, and
in the Berg Collection at the New York Public Lib (see TLS 22 Nov 1957). Letters
are widely scattered, but over 100 can be found in the Brotherton Library at the
Univ of Leeds; significant smaller groups can be found at Princeton Univ and
