Grace Aguilar 1816–47<br />

A collection <strong>of</strong> Aguilar’s papers (mss notebooks, including poems, short stories<br />

and a lecture) and printed books, some with inscriptions, is at Univ College<br />

London. An archive <strong>of</strong> her letters (also some <strong>of</strong> her mother’s) is in the Southern<br />

History Collection, Univ <strong>of</strong> North Carolina.<br />
