as John Stuart Mill. <strong>The</strong> BL holds mss collections <strong>of</strong> Grote, Napier and Place.<br />

Other material can be found in the Sir James Stuart mss collection in the<br />

National Library <strong>of</strong> Scotland as well as in the Mill Collection at Somerville<br />

College Oxford. <strong>The</strong>re is a small collection <strong>of</strong> letters in the Horton Papers<br />
