<strong>The</strong> most important entries in this section are those London evening papers<br />

which were pbd three times a week; they were for the most part founded in the<br />

18th century and were nearly extinct by 1850. <strong>The</strong>re are 3 other kinds <strong>of</strong> paper<br />

which were pbd more than once a week: the London suburban press, various<br />

technical and trade journals and numerous provincial papers which existed as<br />

weeklies in 1800 and were pbd more frequently until they finally became<br />

dailies.<br />
