Among the forgeries by T. J. Wise and H. B. Forman are the following<br />

Stevenson items. Except for the genuine <strong>of</strong>fprint <strong>of</strong> On the thermal influence<br />

<strong>of</strong> forests (the genuine version differs from the forgery in stating ‘From the<br />

Proceedings <strong>of</strong> the Royal Society <strong>of</strong> Edinburgh . . .’ on the cover), Scribner’s<br />

sheets <strong>of</strong> Ticonderoga by F. Warne & Co (London 1887 for <strong>English</strong> copyright,<br />

Harvard), and a reprint <strong>of</strong> Ticonderoga that RLS had made for King Kalakaua<br />

<strong>of</strong> Hawaii in 1889 (printer’s duplicate, Harvard), none <strong>of</strong> these items was ever<br />
