Mss <strong>of</strong> plays submitted to the Lord Chamberlain in the first quarter <strong>of</strong> the<br />

century are in the Larpent Collection in the Huntington; those <strong>of</strong> plays<br />

submitted during the rest <strong>of</strong> the century, from 1824 have now been deposited<br />

by the Lord Chamberlain in the BL. See below, D. MacMillan (1939) and<br />

British Museum (1964). <strong>The</strong> remainder <strong>of</strong> the plays are in the process <strong>of</strong><br />

formal cataloguing.<br />
