<strong>The</strong> Edwin J. Beinecke Collection at Yale has the largest collection <strong>of</strong> books,<br />

articles, portraits and photos, letters by Stevenson (and letters to and about<br />

him), drafts, notes and mss. Examples include juvenilia such as <strong>The</strong><br />

sunbeam magazine, many early essays and poems, journal for An inland<br />

voyage, mss <strong>of</strong> Amateur emigrant, Body-snatcher, poems including<br />

many in A child’s garden <strong>of</strong> verses, Underwoods, and Songs <strong>of</strong> travel,<br />

intermediate version <strong>of</strong> Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, ms and pro<strong>of</strong>s <strong>of</strong> <strong>The</strong><br />

wrong box, Records <strong>of</strong> a family <strong>of</strong> engineers, intermediate version <strong>of</strong><br />

Sitwell and W. E. Henley. City <strong>of</strong> Edinburgh Writers’ Museum ( formerly<br />

Lady Stair’s House Museum) has personal articles, photos throughout<br />

Stevenson’s life and photo albums from his South Seas travels, also books, the<br />

Davos printing press, and letters. <strong>The</strong> Huntington has jnls for Travels with<br />
