Each civilisation, each culture, has its favoured cultural climate, its ideal atmosphere.<br />

Rome for the sixteenth century, Versailles for the eighteenth, Paris for the beginning of the<br />

twentieth. <strong>Kandinsky</strong> lives there and his art becomes more highly universalized. His latest<br />

painting offers us an unexpected image of Paris – one of the most beautiful effigies of his<br />
